On November 22, it was reported the previously announced sequel to Wolfs, an action comedy starring George Clooney and Brad Pitt, was no longer happening. The next day, writer-director Jon Watts clarified a key detail: it was his decision to cancel the second installment, not the studio’s. The reason? “I no longer trusted [Apple] as a creative partner.” It was a refreshing instance of candor when it comes to the increasingly fraught relationships between filmmakers and streamers.
