A Few Thoughts on Carlo Chatrian’s Berlinale(s)
After five years, Carlo Chatrian is closing the book on his tenure at the Berlin Film Festival.
First of all, apologies for the hiatus (stuff came up). The regular publishing schedule will resume this week.
This is a piece I’ve been thinking about writing since September, when Carlo Chatrian first announced he was stepping down as the artistic director of the Berlinale after the end of his five-year contract. In fact, it was one of many ideas that led to the decision of reviving the newsletter after many months on inactivity.
